María José Lis, Chief Commercial Officer at Futureco Bioscience and newly appointed member of the company’s Board of Directors.
Futureco Bioscience has appointed María José Lis, the company’s Chief Commercial Officer, to its Board of Directors, effective September 22nd. She will retain her current executive position, reinforcing the connection between corporate decision-making, international markets and the evolving needs of customers, partners and growers.
Lis joined Futureco Bioscience in December 2020 as Marketing and Business Development Manager and was appointed Chief Commercial Officer in September 2025. During this time, she has played a central role in shaping the company’s commercial strategy, expanding its international reach and strengthening relationships with distributors and partners across different agricultural markets.
Under Lis’s commercial leadership, Futureco Bioscience’s commercial team has expanded the company’s presence across Eastern Europe and developed a more focused approach to North Africa. Attention is now turning further east, with Asia emerging as an increasingly important focus for the company’s next stage of growth. In Latin America, the same market-specific approach has led to a sharper segmentation and prioritization of territories based on their maturity, potential and strategic relevance. It has also guided the reorganization of the company’s subsidiaries and regional commercial structure, aligning local leadership and teams with the distinct priorities of each market.

As a member of the Board, Lis will help shape the company’s long-term priorities, bringing commercial insight to decisions on growth, business development and innovation. She will also help connect scientific capabilities with market realities, ensuring that innovation responds to the practical needs of different crops, production systems and territories. The appointment broadens the range of perspectives represented on the Board and creates a closer link between commercial activity and strategic governance.
