Syngenta Registers Sorghum Seed Treatment

BASEL, Switzerland — Syngenta Seedcare’s Dynasty fungicide has been approved by the US Environmental Protection Agency for use as a seed treatment on sorghum, reports High Plains Journal. Dynasty, with the active ingredient azoxystrobin, protects against all four classes of fungal pathogens (I-IV). It enhances Syngenta seed treatments for higher levels of disease protection on seed-borne and soil seedling diseases, including Fusarium, Rhizoctonia and Pythium.

Dynasty will be available for use in the US for the 2010 planting season.
