ChemChina Nears Deal to Buy Syngenta – WSJ

ChemChina is nearing a $43-billion deal to acquire Syngenta, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The deal, which could be announced as soon as tomorrow, would represent the largest foreign acquisition by a Chinese company, WSJ said.

Terms of the deal are unknown.

Monsanto dropped its bid to acquire Syngenta in August, after the Swiss company rejected its roughly $46-billion offer.
