106 Bt Cotton Varieties In Trials In India

Already, 62 Bt cotton hybrids have been granted permission for commercial production. In addition, 96 cotton hybrids underwent trails on a large scale in 2005, and another 10 are in trials this year. GEAC notes that the trials are progressing favorably, and that around 106 cotton hybrids will get approval for commercial production next season.
