EU: Annex I Renewal Rules Decided
16 July 2007 Each of the first active ingredients (ais) to be listed has been assigned a rapporteur Member State. Companies which wish to renew the approvals of these ais will need to submit formal notification to those Member States by 6 October.

Companies need to submit new data to the rapporteur by 31 August 31, 2008. If further data is requested by the Rapporteur, this must be submitted by 31 March 31, 2009.
The EU is encouraging joint data submissions when there are several notifications for the same ai. If the data are not submitted jointly by all notifiers, the EC requires details of the efforts made to cooperate and the reasons why notifiers did not participate.
Rapporteurs will submit their assessment reports to the EC and the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) by 31 May 31, 2009.
