Former EU Moratorium Unlawful

The case was brought to WTO by three of the world’s largest biotech growing nations, the US, Argentina, and Canada.

The EU moratorium lasted between 1998 and 2004, during which time the EU approved no new biotech products. This was ruled by WTO as an "undue delay" and in violation of trade laws.
