Pakistan Develops IR Cotton Variety

According to a release from the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC), NIGBE submitted a proposal to the National Biosafety Committee for approval of the variety. NIGBE, an agricultural research organ of the PAEC, has been working on genetically engineeed varieties of cotton under the instructions of the federal government as well as on the advice of the Punjab government.
