Can you talk about the merger that happened in 2022?

Certis Belchim B.V., created through the merger of Certis Europe B.V. and Belchim Crop Protection NV/SA in 2022, provides a new force in crop protection. The company combines the strengths of these two well-established businesses with expertise in product development, registration and marketing, and best-in-class technical and product knowledge. For parent company Mitsui & Co. Ltd., the creation of Certis Belchim is a major milestone in its AgriScience group strategy to extend its position in the food and agriculture space.

With unique access to innovative technologies, including those from its Japanese shareholders and additional strategic suppliers, as well as proprietary and Mitsui AgriScience group products, Certis Belchim has a leading pipeline and portfolio, including a broad and market-leading range of biological products. It has strong foundations and an established footprint throughout Europe, dynamic and growing platforms in North America, and expanding opportunities with partners in Africa, South America, and Asia.

What is Certis Belchim’s vision for 2023?

Building on our strength in specialty crops, we will continue to invest in understanding and addressing the challenges faced by growers, while furthering the development of our portfolio of innovative products and extending our offerings in broadacre crops.
