Centurion Plus is a ready-to-use emulsion concentrate based on the active ingredient clethodim (120 g/l), which belongs to the Dims family. The Centurion Plus formulation “ensures quick product penetration and controls grasses in broad-leaved crops,” and is registered in
more than 10 crops, including potatoes, beets, winter rapeseed, beans with pods (uncovered cultivation), pea pods (uncovered cultivation), head brassica, carrots, seed onions, first year bulb onions, second year bulb onions, shallots and garlic.
Christophe Sepulchre de Condé, herbicide product manager for Europe, outlines advantages of this product: “Centurion Plus is a very broad-spectrum herbicide, acting against key annuals and perennials grasses including the one resistant to Fops, allowing farmers to control meadow grass efficiently. Registered in more than 20 countries in Europe, clethodim is still in a growing phase and is an efficient tool for farmers.”

In the aim to continue the development of clethodim in the Netherlands market, Arysta LifeScience said it currently is working on label extensions to optimize the use of Centurion Plus, including sugar beet LDS, flower bulbs and vegetables.
