CAC Brings Agchem World to China
27 November 2019 Trade wars, tariffs, continued environmental crackdowns, and economic slowdowns have left many executives concerned and confused about the future of the agchem industry. CAC 2020 gives buyers an opportunity to talk to the largest collection of suppliers in the world.
The 21st China International Agrochemical and Crop Protection Exhibition will be held in Shanghai New International Exhibition Centre (SNIEC) on 24-26 Feb. 2020. AgriBusiness GlobalTM spoke with organizer CCPIT CHEM Vice Chairman Ma Chunyan about what attendees can expect:

How will this show compare with last year’s show in terms of attendees and exhibitors?
Both Chinese and foreign companies have shown high enthusiasm for exhibiting. The number of exhibitors for CAC2020 has already exceeded that of 2019, with more than 1,500 from 30 countries and regions, including Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Greece, Netherlands, India, Italy, Korea, Pakistan, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, United States, UK, Vietnam, and more.
CAC2020 will again expand its space, utilizing eight full halls from N1 to N5 and W3 to W5, covering more than 90,000 square meters. Several specialized product zones are planned, including a pesticide zone, biopesticide and biocontrol technology zones, fertilizer zone, agrochemical and crop protection equipment zone, overseas pavilion, seed zone, agri-aviation zone, irrigation zone, business matching platform with overseas purchaser delegations, new product and technology release area, and the 8th CAC Awards display area.
CAC2020 will have country pavilions from India and Korea, and more international exhibitors will have larger spaces. CAC2020 expects to have more than 45,000 visits from more than 120 countries and regions, and buyer delegations from Argentina, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Portugal, Thailand, Vietnam, and more.
What is the highlight of this year’s conference, and what can you tell us about the speakers?
China International Agrochemical Conference Week 2020 will be held during CAC2020 from Feb. 23 to 25, 2020, in Shanghai.
CACW2020 will focus on: the supply and demand changes and new market potential of the global agrochemical industry; application of pesticides in seed treatment and beyond-agriculture fields; industrialization of biocontrol technology and biopesticides; mana
gement, development trends, and green and intelligent manufacturing of China’s pesticide industry; global fertilizer development and trade; promotion of functional fertilizers; application and standard construction of biostimulants; and professional development and experience sharing of global CROs and CRAOs, etc., under the unprecedented change in a century through nine thematic meetings from different perspectives, such as market demand, development status, policy orientation, application practice, and comprehensive solutions.
What differences can visitors expect to see this year compared with previous versions of the show?
CAC2020 will reach a new height, reflecting the new pattern of industry development, such as new pesticides active ingredient, pesticide formulation and application, biocontrol, biostimulants, agri-aviation, green and intelligent production, new fertilizer, and seeds etc.
CAC2020 will showcase more comprehensive varieties of exhibiting profiles, such as the whole product chain from raw material to end–use products, different production facilities, and the integrated solution of production equipment.
CAC2020 will gather the wisdom of global experts to create a grand banquet of agrochemical information and widen international exchanges and cooperation through rich extensive activities, such as market demand, development status, policy orientation, application practice, and comprehensive solutions.
