In 2015, the country’s total pesticide export volume reached 1.175 million tons, an increase of 1.2%, while the export value reached $35.46 billion, a sharp decrease of 14.5%. By contrast, fungicide export volume and value maintained growth, rising 10.2% and 5.3%, respectively, CCPIA said.

Although both the export volume and price dropped, the proportion of pesticide formulations exports of the total pesticide export keeps growing and has become the main export force, while the proportion of technical pesticide exports keeps dropping year over year, CCPIA said.

Over the same period, the total import volume reached 90,000 tons with a value of $749 million, down 2.7% and 2.8%, respectively, CCPIA said.
