Dextra International and Grant Thornton Advise on Rainbow Agro’s Acquisition of Exclusivas Sarabia

Grant Thornton and Dextra International have advised on the sale of the Spanish agrochemical company Exclusivas Sarabia, S.A. to the Chinese group Rainbow Agro. Following this transaction, Sarabia becomes 100% owned by the Rainbow Group.

Founded in 1985, and with headquarters in Alpicat (Lleida) and Fraga (Huesca), Exclusivas Sarabia’s activity focuses on the manufacture and marketing of phytosanitary and nutritional products for agriculture, and on a small scale, those for orchards and gardens.

In recent years, the company has consistently and significantly maintained its investment in R&D&I in order to offer solutions of maximum efficiency, safety and quality, and has one of the most complete product portfolios in the Spanish market. In the sale process, Exclusivas Sarabia has relied on Dextra International and Grant Thornton as financial advisors and Grant Thornton as legal advisor. David de Boet from Dextra International and Ramón Galcerán and Álvaro Rodríguez from Grant Thornton led the advisory services.

Rainbow Agro, founded in 2005 and listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (China), is a leading group that produces, distributes and markets crop protection products. With a presence in more than 80 countries on 5 continents, it closed the 2021 financial year with a turnover of more than 1.5 billion dollars, which places it in 11th position globally.
