Dow AgroSciences Names New Rice Herbicide

Dow AgroSciences will call its new rice herbicide Rinskor (pronounced RINZ-KOR). While still in the development stages, Rinskor will help farmers battle post-emergent control of grasses, broadleaves, and sedges in rice and other cropping systems.

“Farmers around the globe are looking for tools to help them stay ahead of nature’s ability to adapt, and Rinskor will be an important option to keep weeds from impacting their crops,” says Daniel Kittle, Ph.D., vice president of Research and Development, Dow AgroSciences, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Dow Chemical Company. “The unique chemistry of Rinskor controls most known herbicide-resistant biotypes and illustrates the power of innovation coming from the Dow AgroSciences’ pipeline to address the challenge of managing resistance.”
