Syngenta Enters Agreement With Nufarm For Azoxystrobin

SAO PAULO, Brazil–Syngenta and Nufarm recently entered into an agreement that enables Nufarm to market and sell Syngenta’s azoxystrobin and cyproconazole based fungicides to Brazilian soybean growers, according to a press release.

The active ingredient azoxystrobin was developed by Syngenta and is currently used on approximately 120 different crops in over 100 countries. The three-year agreement will make azoxystrobin-based crop protection solutions more widely available in Brazil.

“This product will fit nicely into Nufarm’s portfolio and strengthen our already strong presence in soybeans,” said Valdemar Fischer, Nufarm Latin America south president.

Syngenta recently entered into similar agreements with Makhteshim-Agan, Dow AgroSciences and Rallis India for the supply of azoxystrobin, according to the company.
