Gamma-cyhalothrin gains EU approval

Cheminova receives European Union-level authorization for its pyrethroid gamma-cyhalothrin product. The company has been selling gamma-cyhalothrin products under the trade names Nexide, Vantex and Cooper all over the world since 2000, and also in EU member states since 2009 based on national authorizations.

Gamma-cyhalothrin is a pyrethroid insecticide with an application rate of only a few grams per hectare. The main uses are in row crops such as corn, oilseed rape and cereals where it is a tool for control of sucking and chewing insect pests.
