New US Supplier To Source Glyphosate
8 July 2010 HUDSON, Wisconsin, US — Glysortia, a new US supplier of generic glyphosate, has promised to provide “worry free” glyphosate, avoiding supply and quality issues by sourcing only from the top manufacturers in China, according to a company news release. Glysortia says it will source glyphosate produced by the most trusted and highest caliber suppliers in China, manufactured to a 97% technical standard over the industry’s common 95% standard.
Glysortia will offer both PMIDA and glycine-based supplies as tech, MUP, loaded and light finished goods, and other generic crop inputs will be added soon.
Founder and CEO Rick Beardmore was previously vice president of crop protection products for Agriliance. He also held strategic positions with Makhteshim Agan North America, United Agri Products and American Cyanamid. Beardmore stated: “Assured delivery of the highest quality product at a fair price is needed to survive in the glyphosate business, particularly now when margins are so slim. My past experience will allow Glysortia to anticipate and avoid many issues to ensure that our channel customers can manage their costs and serve their customers well.”
