Rainbow Chemical Secures Patent for 2,4-D Choline

Rainbow Chemical, one of the biggest agrochemical producers in China, has received a new patent on its formulation for 2,4-D choline. China’s State Intellectual Property Office granted Rainbow the approval, it said.
Rainbow, which is based in Jinan City, Shandong province, says the manufacturing process of 2, 4-D choline is eco-friendly. “The final product is stable, with less crystal, low volatility, much less drift and smell. It also allows for easy handling for the tank mix,” it said.
According to Rainbow, its formulation for 2,4-D choline differs from 2,4-D amine salt or ester, but has better weed control efficacy. When compared to other formulations, 2,4-D choline is well-suited for hard-to-control weeds and resistant weeds. It can be applied to and is suitable for genetically modified crops.
