India’s Crystal Crop Protection Acquires BASF’s Bavistin Fungicide

Delhi-Based Crystal Crop Protection acquired BASF’s Bavistin adding the fungicide to its crop protection portfolio.

Although the terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, Crystal indicated it could raise yearly revenues by as much as 8%.

“We have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with BASF SE, Germany and BASF India to acquire Bavistin (carbendazim),” said Ankur Aggarwal, Managing Director of Crystal Group.

Bavistin is used in fruits, vegetables, cereals, oilseeds, and pulses, he said.
