Arysta Launches Pesticide in India
9 September 2013 Arysta LifeScience India launched its new acaricide, a pesticide for use on members of the arachnid family, Pallid-X in the Indian market. Pallid-X contains the active ingredient propargite and offers control of various species of mites, including red spider mite and two-spotted mite.
The company explains that this launch comes at an important time, as India has recently seen an up-surge in mite attacks. Mites can damage crops such as tea, chilies, apples, citrus and vegetables.
“Pallid-X will be a good solution for controlling the mite menace in crops in India,” said Rajat Thakur, vice president sales and marketing, Arysta LifeScience India. “We are committed to continuing to offer new technology solutions to Indian farmers, enabling sustainable improvement in farm productivity.”
Arysta LifeScience strengthened its presence in India with the acquisition of Devidayal Sales Limited in 2011. This acquisition provided strong market access and a portfolio of generic crop protection and nutrition products. The company has since launched several key products in the region, including Pilatus root biostimulant earlier this year.
