FMC Receives Approval for Beleaf Insecticide

FMC Corporation has received full registration for Beleaf 50SG insecticide for both the U.S. and Canada, according to the company.

“Beleaf has been a highly effective treatment for control of aphids in fruit and vegetable crops, and with recent full registrations and widespread availability, the product remains a convenient choice for growers,” said Bob Leifker, product manager for FMC Agricultural Products in a prepared statement. “Beleaf 50SG controls insects before they damage the plant, making it an effective choice as part of an overall pest management program.”

Beleaf 50SG is effective on the A-Type Potassium channel of an insect’s nervous system. The insecticide controls pests at contact and ingestion, providing an anti-feeding mode of action that stops feeding in as little as 30 minutes and in turn, protects plants from severe insect damage and disease, according to FMC.
