Gowan Acquires Distribution Rights For Confirm 2F

YUMA, Arizona, US — Gowan Co. has been granted US crop protection marketing rights for Nippon Soda Co.’s Confirm 2F insecticide. Nippon Soda acquired the brand and its active ingredient –- tebufenozide –- from Dow AgroSciences in March. According to a company press release, Gowan plans to start distributing product in mid-July. Dow AgroSciences will sell out its inventory of the product prior to Gowan’s distribution start date.

Confirm controls a broad spectrum of external Lepidopteran pests, including sugarcane borer [Diatraea saccharalis (Fabricius)], Mexican rice borer [Eoreuma loftini (Dyar)], obliquebanded leafroller [Choristoneura roseceana (Harris),], armyworm (Spodoptera frugiperda), cranberry fruitworm [Acrobasis vaccinii (Riley)], fireworm (Hermodice carunculata), peach twig borer [Anarsia lineatella (Zeller)], codling moth (Cydia pomonella) and tomato hornworm (Manduca quinquemaculata). Confirm 2F is registered for a wide range of crops, including sugarcane, caneberries, cranberries, bushberries, vegetables, nut crops and tree fruit.
