MAI Rumored To Have Interest In Nufarm

Responding to reports of the rumor, MAI said it “evaluates from time to time … purchases of companies that operate in the field”. However, the company added that it could not confirm that such evaluations would lead to any actual negotiations. The national newspaper, the Australian Financial Review, reported on the potential acquisition, and Reuters noted an Israeli media report that MAI was considering taking a 40% to 50% stake of Nufarm.
