Makhteshim Agan, Monsanto See Shifts In Leadership

Chairman Avraham Bigger will be leaving his post at Makhteshim Agan effective December 31, 2010 after four years.

Bigger served in a variety of managerial positions within the IDB Group including Chairman of Supersol and CEO and Chairman of Makhteshim Agan, according to the company.

‘’Throughout the years, Avraham proved his great judgment, leadership qualities and common sense,” said Mr. Nochi Dankner, Chairman of the IDB Group in a prepared statement. “Mr. Bigger will continue to be part of the group in his position as board member of Cellcom and we expect to further collaborate in the future.”

Ami Erel, President and Chief Executive Officer of Discount Investment Corporation Ltd. of the IDB Group, will become new chairman effective January 1, 2011. Erel has served as a director of Makhteshim Again since August 2006, when the IDB Group became the controlling shareholder of the company.

Carl Casale will be moving to CHS Inc, a grains and food company, after a 26-year career at Monsanto. The executive vice president and chief financial officer will be leaving his position at Monsanto effective December 31, 2010.
