Rallis Expands Production, Launches New Product

Among the projects being undertaken by the company are plans to set up two agrochemical facilities with an investment of over US $50 million. The units will be built at Jammu and at Dahej in Gujarat state. “The investment will be through internal accruals and we are building up our resources to fund these two projects,” said Rallis CEO and Executive Director V. Shankar in a press conference.

Shankar also said the company is looking to increase its international business. “Presently, about 22% of Rallis’ total business comes from its international operations,’ he noted.

Rallis currently has five manufacturing units: three in Maharashtra and one each in Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat.

Rallis India also launched Takumi, an insecticide to control caterpillars that was introduced by Nihon Nohyaku and developed by Rallis at its Ankleswar plant in Gujarat this year.
