Bayer CropScience Presents Seed Treatment Products at ISF

Bayer CropScience experts are presenting portions of the company’s portfolio — seed treatment products, film coatings, machinery and modern seeds— at the Windsor Barra Convention Center during the ISF World Seed Congress from June 26-28. “Feeding our hungry planet starts with seeds farmers’ need to protect from day one,” said Matthias Haug, Head of Seed Treatment at Bayer CropScience.

A new generation of seed treatment includes Emesto, which helps potato growers control tuber-borne diseases. Emesto received registrations in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and the Ukraine.

The company is also introducing EverGol, a new seed treatment fungicide family, which has been recently granted its first regulatory approval worldwide in Canada and will be available for the 2012 planting season.

The product treats black scurf disease in canola, Bayer CropScience will also display film coatings marketed globally under the brand name Peridiam, which enhance the performance of seed treatments and products from Gustafson, the company´s equipment brand.

The equipment consists of five process components: storage and transfer, delivery and metering of seeds, delivery and application of treatment, mixing and blending and dust containment. Source: Bayer CropScience, edited by FCI Staff
