BetterSeeds Collaborates with The Center of Plant Systems Biology and Biotechnology in Bulgaria

BetterSeeds, an agri-tech company that genetically enhances agricultural crops by using its proprietary genome editing technology, has announced the collaboration and licensing of a unique technology from the Center of Plant Systems Biology and Biotechnology (CPSBB) in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.

The CPSBB is a world-class European research center for plant science. Based in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, the center boasts state-of-the-art scientific infrastructure and is known for applying cutting-edge science. Our collaboration will focus on using genome editing, specifically BetterSeeds’ unique gene editing technology, to improve crops with CPSBB’s newly discovered genes that confer resilience to abiotic stresses such as heat and drought. BetterSeeds will be responsible for the gene editing work, while CPSBB will provide exclusively the gene targets for editing to BetterSeeds.
