Tacoma Partners with Bulgaria’s Agria on Fungicide

Tacoma Ag, a new U.S. company that is opening its doors to foreign companies for import and export, said it partnered with Agria S.A., a Bulgarian company, to introduce the Fortuna 75 WDG fungicide for the U.S. market.

Fortuna fungicide offers a unique WDG formulation of mancozeb and is labeled in a wide range of fruit, nut and vegetable crops.  The fungicide is also labeled in multiple field crops including cereals, peanuts, sugar beets and hybrid seed corn.

The product is a broad spectrum fungicide and can be used to control leaf spot, scab, downy mildew, fruit rot, common rust and anthracnose among many other plant diseases as indicated on the product label.  “Fortuna has a proven active ingredient delivered in a high quality WDG formulation and is the first of several fungicides that Tacoma Ag will be offering to U.S. growers,” said Bryan Wilson, a managing partner for Tacoma Ag.

Fortuna has been previously marketed and sold in Eastern Europe, Russia and the Ukraine, South America and Canada by Agria.  Lucho Mladenov, Agria’s sales director for North America stated, “We are pleased to partner with Tacoma Ag in introducing Fortuna to the U.S. market.  They are a fast growing young company with proven market access and an experienced management team.”
