Seipasa Steps Up its Presence in Mexico with Three New Phytosanitary Registrations

Seipasa, the Spanish company specialized in developing and manufacturing biopesticides, biostimulants, and fertilizers for agriculture, has obtained three new phytosanitary registrations in Mexico, strengthening its presence in this country within the segment of products for protecting crops against pests and diseases.

Seipasa has obtained the extension of use of its Pirecris bioinsecticide to combat thrips, chile pepper weevil and grey cabbage aphid. This product that was already registered for plant protection against aphids and whitefly for a wide range of vegetables, is now registered for new uses against pests that attack crops such as chile peppers, vines and table grapes, red berries, broccoli and cauliflower, amongst others.

Pirecris is a pest control bioinsecticide with a powerful shock effect. It is developed based on natural pyrethrin and an exclusive formulation thanks to the perfect balance between PI and PII molecules which gives this insecticide a high degree of effectiveness for use on field crops and greenhouse crops alike.

Seipasa has also announced the new phytosanitary registration in Mexico of Seipa System, a systemic biofungicide of botanical origin for prevention and control of diseases with a high impact on vegetable crops, vines, and berries, amongst others. Seipa System provides a threefold defence against fungi that attack plants: it stimulates the plant’s natural defences and strengthens the leaf epidermis while inactivating the microbial enzymes of plant-pathogenic fungi.

Seican: Threefold Action

The Spanish company has also broadened its catalog of plant protection-registered products with Seican, a broad-spectrum acaricide, fungicide and insecticide of botanical origin that has a powerful shock effect for controlling pests and diseases that attack vegetable crops, Cucurbitaceae, berries, citrus fruits or avocados, amongst others. In addition to Mexico, the product is also listed on the USA plant protection product register.
