In the past few years, biological products have exploded onto the crop inputs scene. It’s no longer good enough for manufacturers and distributors to offer only traditional crop inputs in their product portfolio. The modern portfolio must also include biological pesticides and biostimulant products.
There are a number of issues driving these changes:
- Regulatory agencies around the world have been outright banning traditional crop inputs or at least making it more difficult for them to be registered.
- Consumers (sometimes ill informed) are pushing for transparency in the supply chains that end on their dining room tables and are demanding what they perceive as safer options.
- The products, once considered snake oil, have the scientific data behind them proving their efficacy.
