Stockton, Syngenta Launch Timorex Gold in Argentina

Stockton Israel, a provider of plant based biopesticides, announced that their flagship product, Timorex Gold was launched in Mendoza, Argentina by Syngenta for the control of fungal and bacterial plant diseases in vineyards, such as Botrytis cinerea or Oidium (Erysiphe necator).

During the launch, Syngenta Argentina and Syngenta Chile presented their Timorex Gold experiences and results of the field experiments conducted in the last five years in their countries. Participants (key decision makers of the industry, grape growers and winemakers) were all eager to learn about the benefits of Timorex Gold. They understood the importance of having access to a product that meets all food safety regulations and allows them to tackle the plant disease even during the harvest period without risking the presence of pesticide residues, Stockton said.

On March 2015, the Stockton Group signed a distribution agreement with Syngenta, Argentina to exclusively market and distribute their proprietary product Timorex Gold, a broad spectrum biofungicide, in the local market. Timorex Gold will complement Syngenta’s comprehensive fungicide portfolio, providing growers with an effective solution for integrated pest management programs (IPM) and resistance management (IRM) programs.

“We are delighted that Syngenta distributes our product Timorex Gold successfully in Chile and Mexico, and now in Argentina .This agreement strengthens the value Timorex Gold brings to both its portfolio and its customers,” explained Guy Elitzur, CEO of Stockton Group. “This type of collaboration is fundamental to Stockton as we rapidly expand into global markets.”

In Argentina, Timorex Gold is approved for the control of gray mold in strawberries and vines, and powdery mildew in tomato and pepper. Timorex Gold is a registered trademark of the Stockton Group and is sold in over 30 countries.
