Arysta LifeScience and Plant Health Care signed a product development and license agreement for use of Plant Health Care’s proprietary harpin alpha beta technology, or “Harp-N-Tek.” Sales of the product are anticipated in the United States following registration in time for the 2014 season.
Según Plant Health Care, con sede en EE. UU., Harp-N-Tek es una plataforma tecnológica para la producción de proteínas harpin que se formulan en productos libres de patógenos. Cuando se aplican tratamientos de semillas Harp-N-Tek o reguladores foliares de la salud de las plantas, las plantas activan los sistemas de crecimiento y defensa contra el estrés. Según Plant Health Care, el resultado es un mejor vigor de los cultivos, resistencia, absorción de nutrientes y crecimiento reproductivo. Además, también se dice que esta tecnología reduce las poblaciones de huevos y juveniles de nematodos entre las raíces.
Aunque no se dieron a conocer los términos comerciales del acuerdo, Arysta LifeScience dice que desarrollará y comercializará harpin alfa beta en varios cultivos y mercados en combinación con varios de sus productos de marca.
