Syngenta anunció que su fungicida SDHI Solatenol ha sido aprobado por las autoridades de la Unión Europea.
Este registro permitirá a Syngenta introducir una serie de nuevas ofertas para el mercado europeo de cereales. Se esperan las primeras ventas de Solatenol en Francia para la temporada 2016/2017, con un potencial de ventas pico total en Europa de $200 millones.
“Solatenol is an SDHI fungicide offering an unrivaled performance against Septoria and rusts — two important diseases in Europe which can significantly impact cereals production,” the company said. In trials, it has proven to be extremely consistent in providing excellent disease control on all important cereal varieties in a wide range of situations over several years. Solatenol offers outstanding levels of leaf protection resulting in higher yield and return on investment for the farmer, it said.

Solatenol ya está disponible para los productores en América Latina como Elatus, logrando ventas de más de $300 millones en su primer año en Brasil. En 2015 también recibió la aprobación en EE. UU. Y Canadá.
