2009 World Of Respect Awards: Successful Stewardship

The World of Respect Awards, sponsored by DuPont Crop Protection, CropLife magazine and Farm Chemicals International, honor outstanding environmental stewardship among those who supply growers with inputs crucial to safe and effective crop production around the world. These winners exemplify environmental care in areas of security, risk management, product handling and use, worker safety, and education and outreach to their communities.

The 2009 World of Respect winners were chosen and confirmed via teleconference with judges from the US, Latin America, Asia-Pacific, and the Middle East. The Ambassadors of Respect, the program’s highest honor, will be presented with their award this summer at a ceremony at the US Capitol Building, where they will have the opportunity to meet the national and regional Environmental Respect Award winners from the US. Ambassadors were selected from a pool of country champions, all of which demonstrated excellent environmental programs. Merit winners were recognized for their ongoing improvement and dedication to building better business protocols.
