INCOTEC Opens New Venture In South Africa
11 November 2008 In a joint venture, Dutch-based INCOTEC Group – a leading seed technology company offering seed enhancement technologies such as seed priming, seed coating technology, seed pelleting, seed disinfection, and seed upgrading for vegetable, agronomic, and flower seeds – along with a South African partner, will open INCOTEC-PROTEIOS South Africa, a manufacturing plant and bio-technology laboratory, on Nov. 21, 2008. The “whole spectrum of the agricultural industry in South Africa, and Sub-Saharan Africa will benefit … [from the] cutting edge technology,” says a company press release.
The new company will offer such services to the seed industry as unique, high quality film coating technologies to enhance all kinds of seeds. A brand new bio-tech lab will offer DNA and protein analysis under the brand name PROTEIOS. The new company will add to INCOTEC Group’s facilities in the Netherlands, Australia, Japan, China, India, Brazil, and the US.
