World Bank Loans $45 million For Nigerian Ag

ABUJA, Nigeria — The World Bank will provide a $45 million loan facility to improve agriculture in Nigeria, reports Next. The fund will be provided under the West Africa Productivity Program, a five-year regional initiative to support Nigeria, Burkina Faso and Cote D’ivoire. The loan fund is directed towards improving agricultural productivity, education and availability and dissemination of technology.

The total loan amount includes a Spanish government grant of $6 million.
