Ambassador Of Respect: Cooperativa Agrícola Mista de Adamantina

Cooperativa Agrícola Mista de Adamantina (Camda) has developed diverse projects focused on health, environment and social well-being. Its programs make farmers and the community aware of the fundamental importance of cooperation in the preservation of the environment. Constant training and field days promoted by Camda concentrate on agricultural output, use of new technologies and commercialization of farming. In total, over 10,000 growers have cooperated in Camda’s programs; another 28,000 people have participated in fairs, school projects, theaters and diverse projects with messages about the sustainability of Brazilian agriculture.

To Camda, thinking of socioenvironmental responsibility is a constant concern in the disclosure and execution of lectures, field days and actions held for the awareness of its staff members and cooperatives regarding correct utilization, transport and storage of crop protection products. A campaign carried out in partnership with DuPont called “EPI is Law,” focused on making applicators aware of the importance of personal protective equipment to the quality of life and health of each individual.

Investments in security are extremely important to Camda. It maintains a neat, organized, clean facility with well-trained staff members. The entrance and exit of people is rigorously controlled, with only staff members and authorized persons permitted inside the facility.

Periodic testing of alarm systems guarantees their efficacy, and emergency equipment is inspected and kept up-to-date. All products are always stored in pallets, located at least the minimum 50 cm from the walls and one meter below the roof. All warehouses are provided with clearly labeled fire extinguishers in easily accessible, unblocked locations.
