Siquatepeque, home to some 75,000 Hondurans, lies in the central department of Comayagua, about two hours from both Tegucigalpa and San Pedro Sula, the two most populated cities in the country.
Cooperativa Cafetalera provides a range of crop protection products, seed and fertilizer (both bag and bulk) from a clean, well-organized store and warehouse inside a sturdy brick building. Services include soil sampling, pest scouting and container collection and disposal. Fruit and vegetable production is the main cropping system served and this business deals directly with growers.

The company has been active in communicating the benefits of reasonable use of agrochemicals and environmental conservation through integrated pest management (IPM) programs.
