Monsanto, Bayer Corn Seed Approved In Brazil

Monsanto Co. and Bayer CropScience both received final approvals to begin selling pest and herbicide resistant corn seed in Brazil, according to Bloomberg.

Brazil’s National Biotechnology Council, made up of 11 Ministers, approved Monsanto’s insect-resistant YieldGard Corn Borer and Bayer’s herbicide-resistant LibertyLink corn, council spokesman Rafael Godoi said.
