LONDON — A new 10-year distribution agreement between crop productivity specialist Plant Impact and Japanese crop protection company Arysta LifeScience gives Arysta exclusive distribution rights for the sales and marketing of Plant Impact’s calcium absorption product, InCa, reports Proactive Investors. Arysta LifeScience will receive distribution rights for Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Dominican Republic, Panama, Belize and parts of the Caribbean.

InCa, scheduled to go on sale in Mexico during the third quarter 2010, will be branded as Talentus in Central America.

A substantial field trial program for InCa has already been conducted by Arysta LifeScience Mexico, with additional Plant Impact products at an evaluation stage in Central America following an exclusive evaluation, development and distribution agreement signed by the two companies in February. The February agreement extended coverage from 24 to 52 countries, and increased the field trial development of Plant Impact’s Crop Nutrient Products. Arysta and Plant Impact are coordinating field trial activities, with approximately 350 field trials planned over the next 12 to 18 months in the US, Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Ivory Coast, South Africa, North Africa, Indonesia, Thailand, France, Poland, Romania and Czech Republic.

Plant Impact said the distribution deal is first of a number of such agreements lined up with Arysta, including current negotiations for distribution agreements with Arysta LifeScience subsidiaries in Czech Republic and Romania.

The companies also have a partnership regarding Plant Impact’s patented natural plant insecticide, BugOil.
