Proficol Begins Operations in Peru

Proficol, one of the largest companies in the regional agricultural sector, has opened a site in Peru as part of an international expansion plan for the Colombian company. The company already has facilities in Ecuador and Venezuela.

“In Peru we are investing about $5 million; this is simply in the operative part of building a company, hiring staff and acquiring the required equipment, technology, transportation and logistics to cover the entire geography of Peru,” said Jorge Steiner, Proficol Group CEO. “This is the initial investment and it will increase as we take more market position.”
