Rotam Receives Agrochemical Awards In China
27 June 2013 Fast-growing global organization, Rotam CropSciences, has received several awards that recognize the company at both the industry and state level. The first, which was presented by the China Crop Protection Industry Association (CCPIA), evaluated more thann 1,000 agrochemical companies in China. Rotam’s Formulation and Distribution Business Unit was ranked second out of the top 30 formulators in 2012. This top-level honor is based on sales, production and research and development capacity.
Two additional awards were granted by the Technology Department of Jiangsu Province and the state: Innovative High-Tech Enterprise and State Key Innovative High-Tech Enterprise. These recognize Rotam’s continued investment and commitment to research and development. The awards also considered sales generated from the company’s high-tech, patented products, which in 2012 totalled more than 60% of turnover.
James Liu, Rotam vice president and regional head in China, describes the awards as a great honor. “This recognition highlights Rotam’s significant advances in agricultural technology and crop protection solutions, which are of great benefit to farmers.”
He notes that Rotam’s emphasis on technical customer support and strategic alliances with other multinational companies such as BASF, Dow, Nippon Soda and Nihon Nohyaku have been central to their success in offering a broad product portfolio.
