Australia: Ag Minister Calls For GM Crops

Australian Agriculture Minister Peter McGauran said that Australia’s moratorium on genetically modified (GM) crops was hurting the country’s competitiveness in international markets. The Minister welcomed recent decisions by Victoria and Tasmania to review their GM crop bans and called on other jurisdictions to follow their lead.
