Australia had 5,460 registered ag-chem products in 2006, 360 more than in 2005.

Adding to the total was the recently approved Redigo (prothioconazole) fungicide seed treatment from Bayer CropScience for use on wheat. The approval is subject to a 28-day comment period beginning June 5.
