Brazil Bans Three Products

Brazil’s government has banned the production and import of three agrochemicals, according to a report from China View.

Brazil’s Environment Ministry has banned the pesticide monocrotophos as well as the wood preservatives lidano and pentachoropheno due to toxicity concerns. The government has also informed the secretariat of the Rotterdam Convention, the international treaty that regulates international trade in dangerous chemicals.
