The Canadian Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) has approved 10 new pesticide active ingredients (ais) for crop and non-crop uses in the year ending March 31, 2007 The Canadian Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) has approved 10 new pesticide active ingredients (ais) for crop and non-crop uses in the year ending March 31, 2007. The list of products approved during this time is:

  • Prothioconazole (F) for cereals, brassicas, chickpeas, and lentils – Bayer CropScience.
  • Spiromesifen (I) for maize, tomatoes, strawberries, vegetables, peppers, cucumbers, and ornamentals – Bayer CropScience.
  • Sulfuryl fluoride (fumigant) – Dow AgroSciences.
  • Carfentrazone-ethyl (H) for fruit, vegetables, and field crops – FMC Corp.
  • Novaluron (I) for apples and potatoes – Makhteshim-Agan.
  • Pantoea agglomerans E325 (bactericide) for pome fruit – Northwest Agricultural.
  • Pantoea agglomerans C9-1 (bactericide) for pome fruit – Nufarm.
  • Neodiprion abietis (bio-insecticide) for forestry – Natural Resources Canada.
  • Sodium Chloride (H) for industrial uses – Herbanatur.
  • Octenol (mosquito attractant) – Blue Rhino Global Sourcing.
