"With these new regulations, we will have a much greater capacity to monitor pesticide use and impacts in order to make sound regulatory decisions," said Tony Clement, Minister of Health.

Pesticide manufacturers and sellers will also report pesticide sales data to Health Canada on an annual basis to help assess health and environmental risks, particularly during the re-evaluation and re-registration of older pesticides.
