Dow Adds 350 New Ag Jobs, Looks To Expand In 2009
In 2008, Dow AgroSciences created 350 new positions globally around the world to advance the company’s research and development, as well as to produce and commercialize its new products. More than half of the jobs were added at Dow’s headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana, US. The company is also expanding its workforce through employees added via acquisition, with seven seed companies acquired in the last year.
Dow AgroSciences set a new first half record for both sales and Earnings Before Interest and Taxes (EBIT) this year, highlighting the need for an expanded workforce. With numerous collaborations and research milestones in 2008, the company expects to continue hiring in 2009, with job opportunities focused on science and technology positions.
