Arysta LifeScience France Announces the Registration of Carpovirusine

Arysta LifeScience announced the complete registration of Carpovirusine evo2 and new uses extension for its product, Carpovirusine 2000 on Cydia molesta (oriental fruit moth) on apple and peach.

Carpovirusine 2000, a sustainable solution for codling moth and oriental fruit moth, is a granulosis virus, Mexican isolate (CpGV-M)-based biological insecticide. Carpovirusine 2000 offers dual efficiency: direct (destruction of hatchings in progress) and delayed (contamination and destruction of overwintering larvae).

Carpovirusine 2000 is now registered on:
• Apple (codling moth, oriental fruit moth)
• Pear, quince, nashi (codling moth)
• Peach (oriental fruit moth)
• Walnut (codling moth)

The various field tests carried out in France and Italy have shown that Carpovirusine evo2 is more effective than Carpovirusine 2000 on difficult populations, and equally efficient on sensitive populations. Applied on integrated fruit production and organic farming, Carpovirusine evo2 is a natural ally of sexual confusion. It is effective for prevention and resistance management as part of programs in Integrated Fruit Production (IFP).
