Arysta Re-registers SIGMA DG and Acquires Use Extensions in France
16 May 2012 Arysta LifeScience has completed registration and new uses extension for its product SIGMA DG (CAPTAN 80 WDG) in France.
SIGMA DG is now registered for use in:
– Apricot (brown rot of flowers and brown rot of flowers and twigs),
– Cherry (brown rot of flowers and twigs),
– Peach (leaf curl and brown rot of flowers and twigs),
– Apple, Pear, Quince and Nashi (scab),
– Plum (pocket gall and brown rot of flowers and twigs), and
– Tomato field (early blight).
A specialty fungicide composed of CAPTAN (80%), SIGMA DG is concentrated for use at low
doses per hectare. With a multi-site mode of action, it is ideal as part of a resistance prevention
and management program. Sigma® DG effectively controls a number of fungal diseases including Venturia inaequalis & Venturia pyrina (scab), Monilia laxa & Monilia fructicola (brown
rot of flowers and twigs), Taphrina deformans & Taphrina pruni (peach leaf curl and pocket plum
gall) and Alternaria (Early blight).
Its innovative formulation (Water Dispersible Granules) is facilitates handling and use of the product. Sigma DG also has innovative and compact packaging: a re-sealable, 10-kg plastic bag with a handle.
