BASF Increases European Prices of Ethylamines and Methylamines

BASF is increasing its European sales prices for ethylamines and methylamines, according to a company statement. Prices are as follows:

Monoethylamine (MEA 70%) +70 €/t
Diethylamine (DEA) +120 €/t
Triethylamine (TEA) +130 €/t
Monomethylamine (MMA) +40 €/t
Dimethylamine (DMA) +60 €/t
Trimethylamine (TMA) +70 €/t

Ethylamines are the starting materials for the production of various intermediates that are used for example in the agrochemical, pharmaceutical, rubber and coatings industries. Methylamines are versatile chemical intermediates with a wide range of applications, such as agrochemicals, water treatment and personal care. They also prove valuable in the production of feed additives and organic solvents, according to the company. BASF produces the mentioned amines at its sites in Ludwigshafen (Germany), Antwerp (Belgium), Geismar (Louisiana, USA), Nanjing (China).
